How important is visiting a contractors showroom?

Probably not as important as visiting projects built by that contractor, yet still very helpful. Visiting projects will give you the opportunity to see and touch real homes and additions and will also give you access to the opinions of the customers who are living in those new spaces. Visiting their showroom provides a certain amount of authenticity to their business; that it’s not just a guy and a pickup truck who might not be around to stand behind the work.


Heartlands has just moved into a new office and showroom at 680 Crown Industrial Ct. Our new showroom allows us to display many more of our favorite products. A visit will allow you to compare colors and materials and also let you experience the quality of our workmanship.

Home Show Special on Retractable Screen Doors

Although for the first time in ten years, we will not be exhibiting at the St. Louis HBA Home and Garden Show this weekend, we are still offering a discount on our retractable screen doors.   You can see the doors displayed in our showroom Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Heartlands installs the Clearview brand of retractable screens. They feature extruded aluminum parts and come standard with a back plate (necessary for sliding door installations), hidden magnets inside the pull bar on French door applications, and most importantly, the built-in mechanical speed reducer. If you’ve ever experienced the “slam” when you accidently let go of the handle when operating a retractable screen door, you know what the “slam” is. For a standard height single retractable screen door, our installed price is $450. The installed price on a set of standard height retractable screen doors for French doors is $800. There is a $40 up charge to get (pet resistant) super screen or solar screen and for taller doors, but there are no “special” installation up charge surprises. Yes, this price is higher than our competitors, but you have to consider you are not comparing equal products.
